The United Arab Emirates lies on the Arabian Peninsula on the Persian Gulf. It is a federation of seven emirates.

The capital and, at the same time, the largest of the emirates is called Abu Dhabi. There you can find the phenomenal Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. It is made of white marble and flower-shaped colourful stones. Inside you can find the world’s largest hand-made carpet and the world’s largest chandelier made by Swarovski. It’s such a spectacle and there’s no entrance fee.

We definitely recommend visiting the water park in Abu Dhabi. The entrance fee is high but we promise that the attractions there are unforgettable.

Dubai is very popular for its growing economy and construction of skyscrapers. The world’s highest building is situated there – the Burj Khalifa, a skyscraper of incredible 828 m of height. The entrance fee is quite pricey, but the view is definitely worth it. More info about the city you can find in this Interesting Dubai Travel Guide.

tom_profilIf you plan to visit this interesting building, you should book the tickets at least 3-4 weeks in advance. We absolutely recommend visiting it in the early morning. It won’t be too hot yet and you will evade crowds of tourists and on the top of that, you will enjoy the spectacular sunrise above the desert full of glass skyscrapers.

The world’s largest fountain offers a spectacular show in the evening right next to the Burj Khalifa. The water shoots up to 180 m into the air, which won’t seem that high compared the world’s highest skyscraper right next to it.

Dubai is unique in many other ways. Besides the skyscrapers, it is funny to watch how the locals cope with high temperatures there. The average annual temperature fluctuates around 30°C, so besides air-conditioned shopping centres, there are also air-conditioned stops and long tube walkways.

If you prefer something else over a vibrant city life, you could go explore a bit of the desert. There is a camel market in the city of Al Ain. This is a large-scale trade going on there, and you can see even black or white camels and also baby camels. Besides that, you can also find the Al Ain Palace Museum there, where the family of the Emirate’s founder used to live. If you want to learn – about what you can do in Al Ain, visit this website.
